Landlords :: Our Services | Formalities | Tenancy Deposit Scheme | Inventory
Tenancy deposit protection (TDP) schemes came into legislation in 2007; therefore landlords who are leasing their property on an assured short hold tenancy must protect their tenants’ security deposit in a TDP Scheme.
TDP schemes are used to hold the tenants security deposit once they start their tenancy, and ensures that tenants will receive their deposits back at the end of their lease. However for tenants to receive their deposit back they must coincide with the terms of their tenancy agreement. If tenants cause any damages to your property, which can be proven, the cost of damages will be taken from their security deposit.
